I had no clue what a sales engineer was, but I thought "someone will actually pay me to geek out on listening to people's problems and researching the best solution to present to them?" The career pivot was a no-brainer. Now I get to utilize what I feel are some of my best traits: 1. Quickly building rapport, ensuring people feel seen and heard 2. Empathy in understanding someone's current situation 3. Envisioning the possibilities of "what if" 4. Engaging storytelling, guiding people from what is to what can be Everyone has a story they want to tell and it's in getting to the heart of that story that I am able to serve people in a way that helps them achieve their goals.
